The beers of FUTENMA part 1 Monchshof Bayerisch Hell

I got this beer at the Futenma PX in a eight beer Monchshof sampler for $11.

Nice porcelain resealable top, shame its in Japan, I would love to pack my empties in a box in the back of the truck and take them to my Dad so he can use them for his beers. But I digress. When I pop the top off, there is no loud explosion of carbon gas, which is nice as it is about 0530 and my roommate is sleeping (I'm night crew, this is when I drink). My impressions of my first sip is that this beer really tastes like bread, I mean, this is a really bready beer. It has a kind of barley taste to it, which I like, and a Lager like weight to it. It is not a particularly striking beer, other that the breadyness, but it's not bad. It comes in at a pleasant 4.9% alcohol by volume, so you're not going to get wrecked having a few with lunch at a family gathering (not to say we won't try, I mean, it's a family gathering). As for after taste, just a sort of bread taste, same as the initial sip. Just not allot to say about this one, it doesn't leave much of an impression, the best part about it was the price.
